REBUS aims at exploring the ever-elusive nature of art between creation and interpretation, between the search for the truth and its inherently subjective outcome. This is attempted via the collision of image and text as arguably antithetical means oh human expression. Doing so, the interpretations spawns beyond the realm of unavoidable fallacy interpreting reality. It splices the circle of human creation with the final interpretation of the viewer - in this case, expressed by the word.

"As individuals, we often HIDE our inner and outer selves from the exposure and, in turn, society encourages and expects this to be practiced. Things that do not fit into the frame, are not pretty to look at or pleasurable to be in contact with, are required to remain in the shade. As a result, the exhibition SEEKS to bring it all to the surface, bare the reality and expose the artist, the subject and the viewer to surprising, honest and straightforward self-awareness and perception of the other. Focusing on the individual as a subject matter, it, thus, brings people in direct contact with those, who have something to HIDE and challenges the viewer to SEEK out these things within himself."

REBUS attempts to casually resist the wireless omnipresence. It flirts with the domestic salon concertos, storytelling assembled around the furnace, analogue postcards from exciting journeys … It is like this because we want to converse with You, not with the society as a persistent, generic mirage. REBUS is not being in demand. It is neither buyable nor advertised or accessible.
REBUS exists only in your hands.
