Bright Black

Bright Black

A desperate painter struggling with artistic and financial hardship pawns his old and beloved grandfather's armchair. This mundane action propels him on a fantastic journey that shatters his false and superficial values and transforms his view of reality.

Bright Black discusses certain clichés that society forces upon us — the cliché of dreams, the cliché of sudden fortune and, of course, the cliché of love. The aim was not simply to destroy or mock them, but to attempt to uncover values much greater to follow and events much more remarkable to imagine. In other words, a modest attempt of human liberation as an individual under the burden of collective patterns.
